Modi government gave a package of 15 thousand crores for tribal development: Brijmohan

Rampur /Former minister and Raipur South MLA Brijmohan Agarwal described the contribution of Chhattisgarh's tribal society as important in the freedom struggle. He said that we are living in an independent India because of the supreme sacrifice of brave sons like Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, revolutionary Shaheed Deori Pur of Bastar, Shaheed Gend Singh, Shaheed Veer Guhar, Shaheed Veer Jhada Sirha.

MLA Aggarwal met Govardhan P. Dr. Rajendra Nagar Raipur and Gondwana Bhawan Tikrapara on Wednesday in a program organized on World Tribal Sacrifice Day. Starting his address with best wishes on Seva Johar and World Tribal Day, he said that he has got the privilege of offering Mahua by performing aarti to Budhadev.

Referring to BJP's work for the tribal society, Brijmohan said that his party gave a sense of pride to the tribal society by elevating a tribal daughter born in a poor family to the highest constitutional position in the country. He said that earlier there was a central budget of about Rs.3,850 crore for the development and welfare of the tribal society, but in Narendra Modi's government this budget has been increased almost two and a half times to Rs.15,000 crore. This amount will provide support to the vulnerable tribes in the areas of health, clean water sanitation, education, infrastructure and also empower them with sustainable livelihood opportunities.

He said that with the efforts of the Modi government, due to clerical error, more than 24 tribes, who were deprived of the rights and benefits given in the constitution, have been included in the list of Scheduled Tribes. Only and only BJP did the work of bringing tribal society into the mainstream of development.
