Uproar over notice to remove dargah in Junagadh, four policemen including DSP injured in stone pelting by mob

Gunagadh/ In Gujarat's Junagadh, there has been a ruckus over the notice to remove a dargah under the anti-encroachment campaign. Angry people pelted stones at the police team, in which four policemen including DSP were injured. Police say that one person has died due to stone pelting. Police is probing the incident and rioters are being identified from CCTV footage.

Junagadh SP Ravi Teja Vasamsetty told that there is a dargah near Majewadi Gate in Junagadh. Junagarh Municipality gave notice to the dargah and directed to submit the papers regarding the validity of the dargah in five days. A crowd of about 500-600 people gathered near the dargah on Friday night. The police appealed to the people not to block the road, but around 10.15 pm, angry people pelted stones at the police team.
